Main responsibilities

  • Elaborate monthly reports (statement of operations, balance sheet, financial situation progress);
  • Analyze variances (actual/budget);
  • Participate in yearly budgets;
  • Verify operational transactions and reconcile the general ledger accounts;
  • Prepare QST/GST reports;
  • Collect QST/GST;
  • Record leases in the computer system (Hopem) and ensure the lease terms are processed;
  • Adjust the transaction fees to the specific terms of the tenants’ leases (13th invoice);
  • Prepare end of year audit checks;
  • Other related accounting tasks;
  • Download bank statements;
  • Carry out bank reconciliations;
  • Conduct small QST/GST audits;
  • Perform accounting assessments upon request;
  • Be responsible for end of month and end of year processes.

Profile and qualifications

  • Be versatile, open, resourceful, autonomous, creative and innovative;
  • Enjoy working in a team;
  • Have good knowledge of the Hopem accounting system;
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar position;
  • Have significant experience in the processing of QST/GST;
  • Be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite;
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English and in French;
  • Be able to work in a fast paced environment;
  • Be able to take decisions, solve problems and establish priorities;
  • Show dedication to customer service excellence;
  • Have good communication and active listening skills;
  • Be able to manage financial resources.
