Main responsibilities
- Elaborate monthly reports (statement of operations, balance sheet, financial situation progress);
- Analyze variances (actual/budget);
- Participate in yearly budgets;
- Verify operational transactions and reconcile the general ledger accounts;
- Prepare QST/GST reports;
- Collect QST/GST;
- Record leases in the computer system (Hopem) and ensure the lease terms are processed;
- Adjust the transaction fees to the specific terms of the tenants’ leases (13th invoice);
- Prepare end of year audit checks;
- Other related accounting tasks;
- Download bank statements;
- Carry out bank reconciliations;
- Conduct small QST/GST audits;
- Perform accounting assessments upon request;
- Be responsible for end of month and end of year processes.
Profile and qualifications
- Be versatile, open, resourceful, autonomous, creative and innovative;
- Enjoy working in a team;
- Have good knowledge of the Hopem accounting system;
- Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar position;
- Have significant experience in the processing of QST/GST;
- Be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite;
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English and in French;
- Be able to work in a fast paced environment;
- Be able to take decisions, solve problems and establish priorities;
- Show dedication to customer service excellence;
- Have good communication and active listening skills;
- Be able to manage financial resources.
